Stream Ecology Lab
The Stream Ecology Lab is part of the Illinois Natural History Survey (INHS) within the Prairie Research Institute at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. It examines the ecology and conservation of streams and rivers, with a focus on aquatic organisms in flowing-water systems and their relationships with their environments.
The lab works with freshwater mussels, benthic macroinvertebrates, and fish to answer ecological questions and support conservation, management, and policy. Visit Research to view current and past projects.
